The COVIC-19 pandemic has resulted in a global shortage of personal protective equipment, with serious supply challenges for ample provision of multi-layered face masks. Research shows disposable face mask have limited success: they frequently malfunction and therefore fail to sufficiently protect people against the corona virus. Many people fail to get a suitable fit and cannot wear the equipment as needed, or at all.
